Supervised Independent Living (SIL)
Delta Family Services’ Supervised Independent Living (SIL) program helps youth aged 17 to 21, including young parents, transition from foster care to independent adulthood. As Philadelphia’s largest SIL provider, Delta offers more than housing—it creates a structured yet flexible environment for developing life skills and self-sufficiency.

WHO IS IT FOR?
Young adults between the ages of 17-21, who are referred by DHS/ CUA and meet the program requirements.
SERVICE AREAS
Service Features
Participants live in their own apartments, gaining independence while receiving guidance from Delta social workers. Through individualized case management, mentorship, counseling, and life-skills workshops, they build the tools to thrive. The program emphasizes career readiness, financial literacy, and education to ensure long-term success.
SIL Requirements
Be actively enrolled in an educational program and must provide roster and grades to life skills coach.
Maintain employment with a minimum of 20 hours per week which is considered part time employment
Must provide proof of employment such as a paystubs and a work schedule
Maintain a C/2.0 average
Attend school/work regularly
Provide worker with name and contact info for someone at school/place of employment
Be accessible for required meetings with life skills coach
Life skills workshops are mandatory
Must comply with all SIL rules and regulations
